THE CHALLENGE

Prior to the construction of this new facility, SHRS programs and labs were housed in seven buildings across Pittsburgh. The Fifth and Halket location has consolidated three of SHRS’ buildings, all along Forbes Avenue, in an effort to centralize and allow for interdisciplinary work among faculty, staff and students.

THE PROCESS

Create a state-of-the-art research and learning hub for both graduate & undergraduate students to enable their success in a variety of healthcare professions.

OUR DELIVERY

The 159,000GSF facility serves as home to several programs within the school, including Sports Medicine & Nutrition, Communication Sciences & Disorders, and Community Health Services, among many others. The building at Fifth and Halket provides students within the SHRS with several specialized learning laboratories and simulation spaces to encourage further learning and research.
